the Power of Nature....

i'm dreaming of a white christmas... - well certainly wasn't granted. i should be singing , "Raindrops are falling on my head.."

the monsoon is bringing endless rain to the region. in singapore, the only rainy woes we might experience are damp laundry, squishy shoes and calf-length floods, at the very most.

but our neighbours over in Malaysia and Indonesia, tragically lacking our generous fate, are battered mercilessly by the fierce downpour and monsterous winds. loss of homes, shelter, food, possesion and even lives are the outcomes of flash floods and mud and landslides. No holidays for children to enjoy. no Chirstmas presents for the Christians to celebrate. no Idul-adha sacrifice rituals for Muslims to cherish. my heart truly goes out to the unfortunate affected by what the powerful Nature brings.

may faith and aid be with you.
